Thanks for visiting! I'm Shannon Corrigan, the owner of Caring Transitions of Central San Diego.
Originally from Kitchener, Ontario, Canada, I owned and operated a successful restaurant in my hometown for many years. After Covid, I realized I wanted more for myself and my family — more freedom, more sunshine, and more meaningful ways to help others every day.
I’ve always loved the ocean and the energy of Southern California. San Diego stole my heart from my very first visit — the warmth, the laid-back vibe, and the sense of community here are unlike anywhere else. So, I decided to follow that pull. I downsized our entire life — moving my two kids, two cats, and our dog from a 3,000 sq. ft. home in Canada into a single 12-foot U-Haul. We made the drive across the country together — once to move here and twice more to visit family back in Canada. It was one of the hardest and best decisions I’ve ever made.
I know how stressful and emotional moving and downsizing can be because I’ve lived it myself. That’s why I’m passionate about helping families navigate these big transitions with care and compassion. At Caring Transitions, we handle the details — whether it’s managing a move, clearing out a home, or helping to sell household items — so you can focus on what matters most.
I believe in giving back to the community that welcomed us so warmly. We make every effort to donate and re-home items sustainably, keeping reusable goods out of landfills. We also love spending time volunteering in local senior communities — simply because we enjoy it and believe it’s important to stay connected.
Most of all, I’m proud to show my kids that with courage and hard work, you really can build a life you love — wherever you choose to be.
If you or someone you care about needs support with a move, downsizing, or home clear-out, I’m here to help. You can reach me directly at 619-310-4986 or scorrigan@caringtransitions.com.
